Happy Easter!

Well, I'm not Jan or anything, but wanted to get a few pictures of Easter. Creston is sick with the crud that is going around, so you won't see him in any pictures. Saturday, the other Wilson's came over for dinner and we colored Easter eggs with Nevelyn. Tons of fun, but she was more interested in what was happening in the barnyard. Nevelyn wasn't feeling good Sunday either, so no pic's of her. Enjoy!

Hmmm.....

Had to go to Okanogan for a softball game last night (not happy about playing on Wed), anyway, Kat was warming up and said she had sharp pains in her shoulder so Coach Jim said "no pitching for you tonight." Kat was bummed but knew it was the right call. Got home at 7:15 and started rubbing and icing her shoulder.....not sure what she has done, but I think she has an inflamed muscle. She is on total rest....no throwing of anykind and no batting for 4 days....she is even icing it during school. We have been so fortunate with very few injuries during sports and usually it happens to Kat for some reason. I'm glad her coaches don't push the medical thing. Creston informed me I needed to pay U of O $200 so they will give him his financial packet. I thought I had more time, but it goes by so fast and wammo the day is here. Got a call from Pet today and it was so good to hear her voice. Thanks Pet!!! Jord was late getting back last night so I actually went out and chored for him! The baby gooslings are so sweet....the mama's.....not so much. Tomorrow is Friday and I am so ready for the weekend!

I've Got Sunshine.....

I was chuckling at Emma yesterday when she said "you have so much sunshine here." Enjoyed our day yesterday with the family. Good food and good visits....doesn't get better than that! Saturday I froze to death at a double header baseball game.....it was so cold the first game but warmed up a little for the second. Jord is home today with a bad headache....it may be just the Monday blues...LOL. We will be leaving for Lake Roosevelt tonight for a baseball game and the girls have to play Okanogan sometime this week.....so not so busy this week and spring break next week..whoo Hoo! Got a call from Bro Bruce/Sis Rama and visited for quite a while. I love those phone calls out of the blue. Jord and I put in for our days off for June so we can travel to Oregon for Tego's graduation and to hopefully take care of some school business for Creston. I asked Creston this morning if he was still excited about Oregon....he pats my leg and says "Yes Mom....you know you are going to be o.k.....! I wanted to smack him up side the head. When did he get a psyc degree? I was digging through the frig this morning trying to find something to take for my lunch and noticed that there were two bags of fetticine? I guess Kat grabbed her bag before leaving last night and I also grabbed what I thought was her bag of noodles. So, I get noodles for lunch!!! I am so done with sandwiches! Had a good visit with Tegan at the ballgame Saturday....I think I talked her ear off, but you have to get it all in while I have the chance. So jealous that Pet and her clan got fresh crab and clams....I love fresh seafood! Good to hear she had a good time.

Ballgames most of the week....

The boys have won all their games so far.....lets hope it continues. Creston has been pitching amazing. Kat pitched a double header against Omak girls last night and they won both games too! First game was 6-1 and the second 18-0....Yikes. Fun to watch. We are supposed to play Brewster Thursday, but I think it may get postponed. Jord is grumbling that he is supposed to be working in the garden instead of sitting at ballgames all week, so he will be happy if the game is postponed. It actually snowed a little here last night and is raining this morning.

Happy 18th Birthday Creston!

Happy Birthday to Creston! I tried to pick out pictures that really captured who he is.....Had a great weekend. We woke up Saturday and took Kat to practice. She wanted us to sit and watch for a while, so Jord and I watched for about an hour and then headed to Wenatchee for a Costco run and also to get seed potatoes for the garden. Yesterday, Ma made some delicious Lasagne. I fried up some asparagus, had salad and bread and everything was yummy. Enjoyed visiting with Audrey and the kids. We had Creston's birthday cake early because the rest of the week is ballgames and church. The kids stayed and played tennis with Aunt Jan and the Easter kids.....first time for my kids to play and they had a blast! Excited that Emma and th boys are heading our way....have a great week everyone!

First game of the Last Season!

Boys beat Omak last night 7-2. Creston pitched an amazing game.....I don't know how many strikeouts he had, but it was alot. Lance pitched the final 2 innings and did a great job. Creston hit one over centerfield and another nice one up the middle....so fun to watch! He has been up late the last two nights making tamales for the Senior class. Great way to make a ton of money for their senior trip. I believe they sold around 100 dozen and will profit around $700.00. Jord has been raking and burning almost every evening doing spring cleaning. He ordered fruit trees that we have to pick up this weekend in Wenatchee. Kind of exciting. I think he is going to downsize the garden this year instead of feeding the whole county. This will free him up a bit to do other projects in the yard. (this is what he says.....we will see) We are still using the potatoes/carrots/onions from last season, I can't believe the cellar held them this long. Well, my life will shortly be consumed with baseball and softball. We have about a week and a half of normal then the crazy sets in and Jord will go one way and I will go another as both kids play in different towns on the same night.

Here I am again....

Kat/I spent the weekend cleaning inside and Jord/Creston cleaning outside. Enjoyed watching Nevelyn unwrap her bday presents. Church Sunday was good, enjoyed the singing. Seared some Pork Chops Sunday morning and then let them bake with Golden Mushroom soup....they were delish! I must do this recipe again. I reserved Peninsula Park for graduation day. We are going to do a BBQ for everyone right after graduation. Thought it would be alot more comfortable for all- people can come and go as they please. Kids can run and play and do their thing. I ran it by the Kesti's and they are on board. Kat asked me if we were going to do something special for her 16th? No....sorry....just going to celebrate normal style. Hope everyone has a great week....we have sunshine.

Spring is coming....

Not much happening on the homefront. Jord has started cleaning the yard and has been burning preparing for the garden. He gets antsy this time of year....so much to do to prepare, but loves it. Creston has started his last year of baseball (sad). The year is going by entirely too fast for me, I want to push a big read "stop" button and slow things down a bit. Kat is full swing ahead in softball. Both kids love spring sports and being outside in the fresh air. I love them just because of the atmosphere....lawn chairs, blankets, sunglasses, ice chest full of goodies, sunshine.....I love me some baseball/softball. Creston was thrilled that Tag was the manager this year....he said "he has so much energy!" LOL. I actually have cooked at home every night this week. I do believe this is a first in about 3 months??? Feels really good. Here is the menu: Monday- Orange Chicken, rice, fresh green beans. Tuesday- Haystacks. Wednesday- Parmesan Baked Chicken, fried taters, salad. Thursday-Tacos and peach cobbler. Friday- Homemade stuffed pasta shells with Marinara, salad and bread. I've had Lance pop in for dinner a time or two. His Mama doesn't do fried tacos so he usually comes over when I cook them. There is so much money going out every month.....with graduation, pictures, food for graduation party, easter, sports, brakes for the car, trips to Oregon, new tires/tune up for the Chrysler before Creston takes it to Oregon and the list goes on and on and on. I have been contemplating going off sugar again....I need to do it....I feel so much better and more energy. I also need to start walking now that the weather is better. Well, I will sign off for now. I have probably bored you all to tears!!!!

Great to be Home!

Loved all the excitement at State, now on to baseball and softball. It was great spending three days with my brother and sister.....great seeing Uncle Jim/Aunt Connie....I can't believe they made the trip and stayed in Spokane throughout the tournament. It meant alot! Wish I could have a long chat with Petra. I hear that Jord calls her from time to time, but I can't seem to get it done. Spring is coming and I can't wait till I can relax in my lawn chair and cheer on my kids. So proud of Kat and Rhi and all their hard work and sportmanship......made us all very happy!
