I haven't been away from the garden all season. It is always a surprise how things look when I get back. Creston did a really good job of taking care of the place this weekend. I know Lance helped some too.

The dill is coming off a little too early for my cukes. I'll have to freeze it for pickles.
Some annual poppies I planted early, early spring are starting to show buds. I love the leaves.
I planted these onions last year, late. Well after the "4th leaf by the June 21st" deadline. I might look into planting some fall onions for a spring or early crop. I know that is how they plant them in Walla Walla.

The beet foliage is really pretty in the afternoon light.

My Blue Podded peas opened up while I was away. Lovely flowers on robust plants. Definitely a plant to grow again. Those blossoms are not the blue or purple I was expecting. I guess it is just the pods that are purple.
The first hollyhock. A seed last year, nine foot this. They look like crepe paper.

Queen Anne's Lace.
I'm very excited about this plant. It has a much more refined leaf than the wild. It is going to be interesting to see how prolific it reseeds, if at all. It is an absolute must for the cutting garden.

I know, you've already seen the borage, but look how the afternoon light makes it glow. So pretty. I gave A. Lahna permission to come and cut it up for A.J. and Emily's wedding. It would be really pretty on the cake, or in corsages.

I am so sad--. My pes and sweet pes have no blooms. The hollys are growing but no blooms. But I still love the feelings I have when I step into my lovely weed patches. The birds love them too!
