So windy!!
Friday night Jord and I was in Manson for a double header baseball game. Great weather and the boys won both. Tons of fun! Picked up the second car that we left in town at cityhall and I heard someone holler my name.....there was Brandi/Gid/Nevelyn/Rick & Lynn playing on the toys in the park. Visited with them for a little while then went on home. Saturday did laundry all day and chilled around the house. Jord worked on a plan for Dad and other stuff for Marty. We were childless Saturday night, so we went on a date night with Kim/Marty. Laughed alot and had some good Mexican food. Kim called Sunday and said that she forgot to latch the chicken coop and her dogs killed all but two of her chickens. After the goats and the chickens.....I would be killing me a couple dogs! I already told Jord that if they showed up around our barns, we were going to have to pop them or we were next. Once they start killing, they will continue. They only thing in our favor is our two Pyrenees....lets hope they do their job. Its been windy here and it said on the news that we would have wind for the next couple of days. Not good on Creston's allergies......or Jord's.

Sunny Days Ahead
Feeling a little rough around the edges today. I am hoping that I'm not getting the flu. I came home with a sore throat, face muscles aching and blaaaa last night. Decided to stay home in case I was contagious. Feel about the same this morning so maybe its just a slight case of it. Last night at the game, I took Nevelyn to the playground area in between games and she is such a character. She played for about 10 minutes and then I told her "o.k....this is the last time...the next game is going to start" she nods.....goes done the slide....then she turns to me and says "one mo time?".....cracked me up and of course I let her go one more time, who can resist that?

Double Wammie!!!!
I was sitting at the ballgame last night in LibertyBell when my phone rang and it was Janice giving me some good news. She bought tickets for her and the kids to be here for Creston's graduation! Whoo Hoo! So excited to see them. Second surprise was the text from Audrey about Rylan. I have a very happy heart today! What a great day.

Hello World
The plan was....on Saturday I was going to Liberty Bell to watch Kat's games and Jord was going to Pateros to watch Creston. Jord went in Saturday morning to do the numbers for the city and came home sweating and cold chills. So, he stayed home all weekend and did pretty much nothing. Coughed alot and drank juice and coffee (like the coffee is going to help his congestion!). Today he is at work. He probably should still be at home, but he missed a week already. He is still congested and has a terrible headache today. This is nasty stuff. I talked with Audrey on Saturday and she sounds terrible. Hope all the sickies get well soon! Visited with Janice for a while on the phone last night. She is pricing tickets for Creston's graduation. It will depend on cost so I am not going to get excited until she calls and tells me she has bought the tickets. I have to pick up Creston's annoucements this week and place the order for his pictures so I can get them mailed first part of May. This month has flown by and I am not prepared for all that has to happen in the next four weeks. I have made lists to remind me what I have to do and what I have to buy....if I lose the lists....I am in deep trouble! This is Mya....sent to me this morning.

Been a Long Week!
On top of Jord being sick all week, I come home last night and he tells me "I think I broke my middle toe." What???? "yea, I kicked a box in the greenhouse thinking it was a cardboard box trying to get a cat out and it was a heavy box." So, I went about getting dinner ready and pretty soon I hear this hollering and crying and he has stubbed it again on the rocking chair! By the end of the night it is black/blue all over and hurting pretty good. When I crawled into bed, he gently pats my leg and told me "please, don't bump my toe in the night." Like I can control what I do when I'm asleep. It's been a long week for Jord and a long week for me because of lack of sleep. So glad its Friday! I did tell Jord he needed to stop throwing fits and he wouldn't injure himself. Needless to say, I noticed this morning the .22 is loaded and propped up by the front door waiting for the cat to make an appearance so he can pop it in the head. Creston, Kat and Lance went to Chelan last night to watch Tag's baseball game. They got home from practice, filled a bowl with mashed taters/gravy and grabbed a piece of fried chicken and out the door they went. I did torment Abe a little. I texted him and told him I was frying chicken if he wanted to come for dinner. He didn't think that was very funny!

Half Way......
Well, Jord is home again sick. He worked the last two days sick and finally hung it up and stayed home today. Second time around for him with this lovely flu. Not fun stuff! I think he has caught every flu bug the last 6 months. Creston hit another homerun last night....they beat Bridgeport in 5 innings...16-6. Kat swung at the first pitch of the game and hit a homerun......they also beat Bridgeport last night in 3 innings....20-0. So, I was able to watch Kat and run to Pateros and watch 1/2 of Crestons. The Evan's blue healer dogs have been getting to their brand new baby goats and killing them. So far, they have killed 2 and injured 1 pretty bad. I would be shooting me a couple of dogs. Once they start, they won't stop. I have never been a fan of blue heeler dogs! There is student lead conferences today at the school. It was Jord's turn to go, but with him sick....guess who gets to go. Happy Wednesday everyone...half way through the week.

Rain, rain, go away.....
Woke up to a gloomy, rainy day. I don't like cold, wet days. We had a pretty relaxed weekend overall. Jord went to Kat's games in Pateros and I hopped in with the Evan's to travel to Oroville for the boys games. Boys and girls won both. Great season so far for both Kat and Creston. I found pictures the other day of Creston when he played Little League in Oklahoma. His mitt looked huge on his hand! Jord worked on the irrigation Saturday evening and Sunday-its coming along. I told him if he didn't have time to put in a garden this year, that I would survive. I really want some grass. We will see. I enjoy the garden and it does save us a ton of money on food throughout the year, but it takes alot of time. I'm still using potatoes, onions and carrots out of the cellar. I got a call from the school telling me I need to pay the remaining balance on Creston's graduation stuff....told them they had to wait till the end of the month. Aaargh! Not ready for the next 45 days there is so much to do and you kind of need to be home to get it done. We are gone every Saturday till graduation.....I will definately be ready for a few days in Eugene in June.

Another Friday...another weekend!
Jim came up yesterday to pick up the rest of their stuff out of our barn and brought Jord a bunch of irrigation pipe for the yard. He got it dirt cheap and refused to let us pay for it. Great to have a brother that works for Home Depot! He didn't get to stay for dinner, had to work last night so we had Lance come over to help eat the steak fajitas. Lenora sent me this picture of Alexis.....she is growing way too fast. We need to get over there and see them for the day.....problem is....all of our Saturdays are taken from now till graduation. Happy weekend everyone....we will be sitting at ballgames....one in Oroville and one in Pateros. Guess who gets to go to Oroville????

Growling Bear......
Everyone knows that I rise early in the morning....always have. When I mean early-that is around 6 or 6:15 am. Kat started drivers ed this morning and has to be at the school at 6 am, so she is getting up and heading to town with her Dad. Thats all fine and good except that I don't want to wake up at 5am! In and out of the bathroom, shower turning on, toilet flushing,open/close the front door and on and on.....so much for sleep. Its going to be a long few weeks until she is done. I even stopped for caffiene this morning because I knew it was going to be a long day. Love all the pictures of Chantry that the family is posting. Wish we could make a quick trip to Eugene too see this little cowboy, but its not going to happen. We won't be able to come till Tegan's graduation....he will almost be big enough for a pair of cowboy boots! Just kidding.

Friday Finally!
I had to remind myself this morning that it was Friday. Whoo Hoo! It has been a nice quiet week which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Marty/Kim called last night trying to get me to go to the church campout meeting.....no thank-you....staying home and relaxing! I went to Pearl Shrable's Memorial service today. Sad....she had Altzheimers and didn't know anyone this last year. Her and Lowell had been married almost 59 years. Lots of towns people out for the service. Creston is finally up and at it-still has a nasty cough but feels so much better. I have to take Kat to Omak in the morning to get her driving permit..not really ready for that chapter-I think I will turn it over to her Dad. Jord got all the pipe/valves for the irrigation at the house. I am hoping for a patch of grass by fall harvest party.....we shall see.

Enjoying a free day.....
Jord and I took the day off to go to Royal City to watch the baseball games, but Creston is still sick this morning and so we are enjoying a day at home. Jord isn't complaining....it gives him a day in the garden. They ended up not having enough boys to play...apparently there are 3 or 4 sick guys. Not fun stuff. Creston has had it for 4 days and showing small signs of improvement. Kim called this morning and they have two new baby goats....they are so cute. Nevelyn will have to make a trip out to see them. Loved all the pictures of the Oregon kiddos at Easter. Our Easter was a little lame. Creston was sick so Kat and I went to church. Meeting was good, but I came home and fixed dinner and Richard came over. We have been working on Creston's financial packet....Yuck! Not fun doing this stuff...so grateful for Jord because he has done it many times! Well, going to start cleaning off the porch....the sun is shining and it is beautiful out!
