Canning
It happens every year.....everything comes off at once to can and I don't have enough hours in the day to get it done. Friday night, Jord and I did the gates for football the first half and the second half we worked in the concession stand. Saturday, Jerry picked up Creston for Cross Country and grabbed Kat and dumped her off at the fair. Jord and I left our house in plenty of time to get to Tonasket to watch the kids run.....(we thought). Arrived in Tonasket with about 5 minutes before Rhi was scheduled to run and had to make an emergency restroom stop and by the time we parked and walked to the race.....I missed her coming across the finish line. I was so mad!!! They both did amazing. Got home and tackled another batch of salsa. Cleaned house with the help of my two kids.....getting ready for Richard. We did find him an apartment in Pateros for October 1st, $425/month and they pay all utilities including electric! Great deal. Sunday went to church, came home and fixed haystacks then started canning pears. Pears are Jord and Creston's favorite....I hate to can them....they take so much time to peal. Only canned 1/2 as the rest were not ready. So guess what I will do tonight? Another busy week ahead.....but I am loving the weather change!
