Day at the Wilson's

Well, I will go one way and Jord will go the other on this wonderful Friday evening when we should be going on a date or something???? Jord will go to Creston's game and I will go to B-Port for Kat's. I've been having problems with the Honda starting. Randomly, it will decide not to start (usually in the worst of places). This week I had just put gas in at Superstop and it wouldn't start....so, I called my wonderful brother-in-law Jerry and he came and jumped me. Next morning, "Who ya gonna call???" Marty. So thankful they live next door, now my car as started everyday since. I was told it was time to replace the battery, but I don't want to spend the $100 to get it done. Guess I will have too before I venture down to Oregon next week. I am so excited to finally see Janice and Reece. We will be bunking at Cynthia's and I probably won't make it around to all the places I really wanted to go too....but....situations changed and we will leave it at that! Come see me.....maybe we can whip up some grillin' time or something.

Hello World

It sure was nice to hear Manthy's voice in church yesterday. I was pretty emotional after meeting and didn't hang around for fear of embarrassing myself. I did enjoy meeting and I am so thankful for everything he has done for our assembly. Its been great having Cynthia and the girls here. The girls have grown up so much. Jord and Creston worked on roofing the new goose barn yesterday. They almost have it completed, then it will on to the next project. The greenhouse is up and going and Jord came in yesterday to tell me he has little cabbage plants up. This is an exciting time of year for him....he loves his garden. We have a busy week ahead....three nights of softball, baseball and one night of church....that pretty much shoots the week!

Yes...that is what the score was last night for the Pateros Softball game. Maybe next time Chelan will bring the Varsity instead of the JV.....Maybe Chelan didn't think our girls could give any competition???? The Pateros girls did awesome, but it really wasn't much of a game. I enjoyed the kids concert last night...really enjoyed watching my neices and their duets. Great job Rhi and Irish! Really loved the dixie duet that Rhi and Billy played. Jord is feeling better today, but still not at work....hopefully he will be able to watch the boys tomorrow.

A little of this and that....

I have been so happy that my foot is feeling better that I walked too much this last weekend and I'm paying for it this week! Grrrr. I stayed home last night and elevated it, didn't even cook dinner....I had everyone eat leftovers....oh well. It does feel so much better this morning. Kat has her first highschool softball game tonight....she said she was a little giddy this morning with nerves. How can you be nervous when you have been playing since you were 4? We have the game at 4:00 and then the highschool concert at 7:00.....busy night. Jord has been home sick the last two days with a sore throat and congestion---he's not been feeling that great! I am happy that I see blue clouds poking through the rain clouds.

Happy Birthday Creston!

Yesterday was Creston's Bday and we had Ma/Pops, Jan, Gid/Brandi and Nevelyn over for dinner. It was a fun time. Enjoyed everyone, especially Nevelyn. She was hilarious....she found out that we had animals outside so she wanted anyone/everyone to take her out. She actually wasn't afraid of any of the animals....she pet a chicken, bunny and Bandit. Not bad for a one year old! I heard on the news that we are supposed to get snow this week...yuck. Kat's first game is Thursday and the boy's game was cancelled last Saturday so we will shoot for this Saturday. Can't wait!

1/2 way through......

1/2 way through the week and so ready for the weekend. I was sitting on top of the road last night watching baseball practice and talking with Abe on the phone. It was nice to chat with him.....he chuckled when I told him where I was at. (he was sitting in the parking lot waiting for his class to start) I was just passing time waiting for the winter sports awards banquet. It cost to much in gas to go home for 1 hour then turn around and come back to Pateros. Jord comes home tonight!!! He has to go to Wenatchee tomorrow and take the test, so I may jump in the car with him and pick up groceries....can't pass up a free trip.

Not a Happy Farmer

Jord left last night to head to Moses Lake for a 3 day training on Sewer....yuck! Anyway, I don't sleep well when he is gone. I hear every little noise in the house. We have this goose that is being housed in the chicken barn (breading season) and it has been going off in a loud screech for several days. I told Jord to check on it, because it sounded like it was in major pain. He came back in and told me that a rooster was in the goose pen and wouldn't let the goose eat. So, he said he took care of the problem. NO!!! Last night the goose started going off and continued to go off until 6:00 this morning. Kat who sleeps through everything, came into the livingroom and said "what was up with the gooose last night?" I didn't get any sleep at all!" Welcome to my world! Jord called this morning to listen to my complaints and promptly told me that I did know how to use the 22 in the closet and to take care of the problem. Thats fine except I don't like going out into the dark at 2 am to shoot a goose in the head! As you can tell, I'm not a happy farmer this morning, and to top it all off......its snowing! What's up with that????

Not enough time

So many projects to do but not enough time. Jord has been working on finishing his goose barn so he can have a good season of hatching little gooslings. Our ground is still so muddy that its impossible to work on the yard, but hopefully soon we can get it grated and grass planted. I told Jord.....just plant me some grass, if we have to tear it up later....so be it! We can't landscape the yard all at once, do to money, so.....give me some grass and the rest will come in stages. Took dinner to the Salcido's on Monday night and little Jaxon is a cutie. So thankful. I went and watched the kids ball practice yesterday. It looks pretty promising for both the boys and girls. I love the spring and the spring sports. I'm counting the days till I get to see Janice and Reece.....Can't wait!

It's Friday

So glad this week is almost over! I really would like some warmer weather....I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of scraping frost off my windows in the morning. Last night was a quiet night for Jord and I...the kids were off staying the night with friends. It was sooooo nice to get up this morning and not have to hurry the kids along to get ready for school. So peaceful. Jord has seeds coming in the mail every other day and he sorts them and re-reads them.....they don't even have pretty pictures on the packages, so I don't know what all the excitement is about. We were sitting at the kitchen table last night and we sat and watched Kodiak climb the tall fence to get out of his pen into the big pen. Couldn't believe it....just like a person.....climbed right over. Not sure how Jord is going to take care of that problem. Electric fence???? Hope the wedding goes off without a hitch and everyone gets some good visiting in.
