THe Sun in Shining

Off to the basketball games tonight in Manson. Creston came home tonight to inform me that during Bball practice someone went into the locker room and stole his $1000.00 Ipad2. I am not a happy camper this morning. I called the school to inform them that I reported it to the sheriff's office so they would know what was going on. His Ipad does have a tracker in it, so if the person decides to get on the web, it will email Creston. I pray they do, so we can get it back. He worked hard for it, but realizes that Mom does know what she's talking about when I said "You better not take it to school, because there is a stealing problem at school." His reply was....I didn't take it to school, I just took it to ball practice. So frustrating!!! We had an excellent dinner Sunday at Ma/Pa's house. Jan decided to spoil my kids and made them Cherry Cheesecake and Wacky Cake. She then sent the cheesecake home with Kat, which she did eat the entire thing!!! It was very tempting to take a big bite but I was good and didn't even have a nibble. If you think about it, remember my foot. I've been having problems with a fallen arch for 2 months, and at times I can barely walk. Its pretty painful, I keep it elevated all day at work and in the evenings at home. I guess I am getting old....body doesn't work like it used too.

Is it Spring yet?

Not really feeling the snow thing this year. I was excited that the highway was clear when I came to Pateros this morning. Last night leaving the game it was nasty! I drove 35 all the way home. Enjoyed the games last night. Got some good bonding time in with Nevelyn. She was feeling the music last night....too cute for her own good. I'm really craving some good fattening food today....I would love a huge chunk of Lasagne or a couple pieces of good pizza. I may have to think of a lower calorie version of one of these for the weekend. I did make a apple pie on Sunday with granny apples and frozen apple juice concentrate. No sugar and it was delicious!

Another week almost gone

We have been battling sickies for about 1 1/2 weeks! Creston went from having a swollen jaw (bad tooth) to getting this flu. He feels pretty decent one day and the next not good at all. He stayed home today and hopefully will sleep it off. This is Jord's second morning of rising at 2:30 am to start plowing. He got home after 8pm last night. We didn't make it out to church last night.....our Honda needs a new battery....I have to have it jumped if it sits for longer than 2 hours. I told Jord that we needed to make a sign for the Evan's to hang on their wall that says "And like a good neighbor, the Evan's are there!". That is the saying that State Farm uses. Marty has been jumping my car each morning without complaint and also I came home last night and our driveway was plowed....so nice of them! Jim/Terri want to buy tickets for a Gonzaga game, but we can't seem to find a free weekend when there is a home game. If its not Bball, then its solo/ensemble contest in Wenatchee.

Hi

Well, what do you know....we actually took Christmas down yesterday! Serious ordeal....boxes and boxes of decorations to be put away. Neither Jord nor I could go to asleep last night. We had slept so much the last 3 days, we weren't tired......but we definately feel the late night this morning. I thought we would have a quiet week because no games till Friday....but, council meeting for me tonight, church tomorrow, nothing Thursday and Friday the game. We thought about visiting Ma/Pa last night, but Creston was still feeling under the weather and I didn't think they would want us to pass it around. And....its snowing outside...don't like!

4 Day Weekend

Well, today I'm off to Wenatchee with Kim to pick up supplies for Pateros Pride. We are getting new computers today at cityhall and my office will be completely tore apart. So, I took the day off and Monday being a holiday.....yep....4 days off. So excited! Maybe I can take Christmas down. Creston has had a swollen jaw all week from a bad tooth. It's not hurting him, which I'm thankful for, but it is draining and making him a little sluggish. So, I took him off pop and heavy sugar items and I'm making him rinse his mouth with salt water. He was much better this morning. Not really excited about playing B-port tonight.....those girls are nasty players...they may not be the best team, but they do play dirty. Of course, they may think that of us!!!

Happy Wednesday!

Petra so kindly reminded me that it was now Wednesday! Last night games were so-so. The girls won pretty good.....the boys....not so good. I heard Mr. Harvey tell Mrs. Harvey to get Blayne into the eye doctor tomorrow to get his eyes checked.....there is no way he can miss that many shots....must be his eyes...hmmmm. Not a good night for the boys...I felt bad for them. But, we will go on and win the next one! Jord and I have been 9 days without sugar! Big deal for us. I just take one week at a time and hopefully it will pay off. Our kids are not really liking that Mom isn't fixing goodies anymore and that dinner consists of mainly vegys with a little meat....nothing special. I do fix carbs for the kids, but not Jord and I. Coming home from the game last night, I was riding in the back with Lance and Kat and they were eating KFC and Taco Bell......I know I was drooling...wanting to take a big bite out of Kat's mashed taters/gravy!

Monday, Monday....

Jord and I must have been exhausted this weekend because neither one of us sleep past 6 in the morning.....Saturday, Marty and Kim walked over to check out what I had made for breakfast at around 8:30......Marty walked up on the porch and told Kim...."there's no lights on in the house- the car is here??? I can't believe they are still asleep!" We didn't wake up until 9:30!!!! Wow. That never happens! Kim was embarrassed that Marty was looking in the window to make sure everyone was alright! Very funny! I woke up with a headache this morning....I think I may have a little bug....not feeling my best, but will make it through the day. I really enjoyed my visit with Liz. It was nice to have them here for a week. I even got a big hug from Lionel before he left! Lenora called last night to inform us they are expecting. She is 10 weeks along and we are all praying she will be able to carry this one and things will go well.

Busy Week Ahead!

Looking forward to the games tonight. Audrey and the girls popped in Sunday night while dropping Kat off and wanted to see the house.....Oh Know!!!! My kitchen was a disaster, living room a mess....diningroom, you couldn't see the table....Tegan probably thought her Aunt was a big slob. Come by tonight and my house is clean. Oh well, at least it was only family and not anyone else. Jord and I made some resolutions....lets hope we can keep them.
