Added Info-For Uncle Josh

Well after calling Grandpa with the news and then Uncle Josh.....Kat crashed and slept 11 hours...had to finally wake her up to rush her to get ready for church. She had been up since 6:00 that morning and ended the night at 9:30. Very excited bunch of girls. Her season ended with a record of 22-2. The only games lost were at the State Qualifiers where we played the team that won world last year. All in all....great girls, good softball and exhausted parents!!!! It was nice having 2 church girls on the team and then playing against church kids in the tournament. We were so surprised when we seen Lacy/Jeremy. Haven't seen them since Kat/Tennessee were under a year old. They have returned to church and seem to be doing well. Kat had to play against Tennessee the first game....Tennessee's team ended up with 3rd place in State. Fun day but glad for a much needed small break.

Proud Dad

These pictures are all kind of mixed up, but they are here. Summer ball is finally over. It means we get 3 days of break before pitching lessons start up, and 3 weeks till fall ball starts up. It has been a lot of fun. The Chargers got stomped at the state meet. They lost out twice to some really tough teams, so they played in a state rec tournament. 2 Cushing teams, 1 Hobart team and Lexington. Met some brethern on the Hobart team, cousins on the Cushing team, and was told there was brethern on the other Cushing team. Small world.

Weekend of Heat

Well, we set in ball games all weekend and the girls ended up with the Championship! Kat hit a home run, double and a two singles. Undefeated with only 8 runs scored on them all season. Very exciting. We play State Tournament this coming weekend. It's hot and miserable in Oklahoma, and all I was wishing for was just one day at the lake. I hear the girls chats/cheers in my sleep. "She's a home-run hitter and your never gonna get her....Give it up.....Give it up!!! And on and on...... Church yesterday was the best I've heard in a long time. We had visiting brethern from Colorado and Cushing. The church was packed....only 20 minutes of preaching and the rest prayers, testimonies. It was really good, and all of us needed it! We left church, went home and scarfed some food and off to the ballpark. Jord has been getting summer squash from the garden every since we got home....there is so much I'm going to have to give some away. It's so good, I hate to do that, I just haven't had good luck with freezing it, no one will eat it. Praying for everyone....hoping Josh has a good week.
