Tree USA

Jord worked on getting the City of Pateros recognized as a Tree USA city and he also got a $5000 grant for city trees.  Here are pic's of him and his helpers.  Love the kids in the pictures.

Fun TImes.....

Loved having everyone over last Sunday.  Thanked my hubby for planting my grass so all could enjoy it!  This week is sunny, sunny and I am loving it.  Got home last night and switched out the laundry and my dryer wouldn't turn on.  Jord checked the breaker and all was good, so Marty is going to check the electrical plug and if that is good, then I will be buying a new dryer.  I had intended on buying a new set next year and was hoping I could stretch this pair out, but it is not looking good.  So, I have clothes draped, hung throughout the house......I may have to go to Chelan to do laundry.  I hate that place!  Bruce/Rama called last night-it is always good to visit with them. They are coming for the campout and staying an extra week.  Excited about that!!!

Gloomy Skies

Where did our sunshine go?  I shouldn't complain, yesterday was gorgeous.  Enjoyed the weekend but it definitely wasn't long enough.  Friday night I watched one of Lance's games then headed out to the church to help Jord with Chris/April's flowers.  We finished and got home around 9 pm.  Saturday, Jord went to the wedding festivities and I headed to Oroville for Kat's double header.  Sunday, we had a good meeting and a large crowd.....tons of food for potluck.  We were sure missing Creston at picture taking time.  Kat said she was lonely without big brother.  I have a long week ahead, meetings, training in Moses Lake and ball games.  I am already looking forward to Friday.

Not a Long enough Weekend......

Friday night- Jord, Kat and I took Ma/Pa to dinner at the Pub in Twisp.  It was so yummy!  Enjoyed our time with them.  We haven't been very good about making time to run and visit them and I was feeling tons of guilt.  It was actually nice to have Kat with us too-we don't get enough alone time with her now a days.  Saturday- wasn't feeling the best, so I skipped April's wedding shower and stayed home and relaxed and did laundry.  Sunday- church was good, I thought.  Loved the ministry and enjoyed seeing Bro Roy/Sis Debbie and hearing his testimony.  I had two songs come to my mind during church and I opened the book to start them and Dad started one and Audrey started the other....very comforting. Jord took Kat/I to dinner in Omak.  He had to get wire for chicken pens and didn't want to go by himself.  Sure.....if I don't have to cook dinner. hee hee.  Kat worked outside helping Jord with his pens and I continued to do laundry and occasionally I would sit in the lawn chair on my beautiful lawn and supervise the progress in the barn.  I love my lawn!  Dad unloaded a ton of plant material for his jobs in our front yard and we have had several people comment on how they can't wait to see how the yard is going to look with all those plants/shrubs.  Sorry people....they aren't for us.....Dad is just tempting me to hijack a few and plant them in my yard!  It's a beautiful sunny day here today and I wish I was outside in my lawn chair instead of behind a desk.  Creston forwarded me a picture of Chantry and I got to chat with the little guy on the phone.  I did all the chatting....he did the mumbling. 

Hello

So yesterday, I had to go back up to jury duty.  Second time this year that I have been called.  When it came time for the questions to the jury, it was asked " Does anyone have any reason why they couldn't serve on the jury without being impartial?"  I raised my paddle.  The judge said "Mrs. Wilson, why can't you serve on the jury?"  I said.  "Because District Prosecutor Mr. Sloan prosecuted my family last year and I don't don't think I could be unbiased."  The judge said "Mrs. Wilson, you are excused from jury duty."  I was so relieved.  Just seeing him in the courtroom gave me anxiety.   Jord said....."well that's one way to take care of not serving jury duty."  Watched Lance play baseball last night and it made me miss Creston.  Kat has been having a lot of pain in her wrist and is having to wear her brace most of the time.  She has had a hard year with her injuries.....makes me groan.

My Friday...

This was this week's paper.  I love how her hair is flying.  Today is my Friday and I have Monday off too.  I am loving the 4-10 hour work week especially when it falls where we get the Monday off too.  Worked with a headache all day so I put my glasses and BOOM.....its gone.  I forget to use them when I am working, but it is amazing how much better I can read the computer! Petra is tormenting us with all those adorable pictures/videos of Jagur.  I told Jord we need to make a trip to Oregon or Jagur won't even know who we are.....he is so sweet! Went out to Jord's greenhouse and he has little green things popping up everywhere....(you noticed I didn't say what he was growing....because I dont' know!)
