Empty House

The house seemed so quiet after church on Sunday.  Creston left right after meeting and arrived safely to his second home (thank you Chad/Emma).  Lots of good times while he was here.  Lance was over almost every night, so it was late nights all week.  Ball games, young kids party, and trips to Wenatchee....we were busy.   Creston stayed with the Evans on the weekends when Jeanie was at our house.  Enjoyed having her and it was nice to spend some one on one time with her.  I received a text from her telling us that they had made it to Ellensburg and she stated "I already miss you guys"....so I guess we didn't scare her off!  Kat is busy trying to figure out where she is going to work this summer.  She hopes to get on at BMP, she doesn't really want to work in the orchard again this year.  On a different note, I sit in front of the young kids at church and it was so good to hear Creston, Lance, Kat, Rhi, Irish, and Chantae singing.  Those are the ones I could hear.....I'm sure the others were singing too.  I do miss Tag singing next to me....he has moved on to greener pastures now that he is a teenager.

Softball

The girls beat Brewster last night 16-2! It felt so good.  Kat pitched an amazing game and ended up hitting a home-run and later a double.  Not bad for a team that has 6 new players and some have never played before and asked "what's an umpire?"  Seriously.....kind of a scary thought, but they are willing to learn and work really hard to get better.  It showed last night.  Very excited for them. We have enjoyed having Creston around and getting to know Jeanie better.  We have had a very busy week, so it flew by.  I can't wait to have him home for the summer. Although, I think he brought the rain with him.  Spent the day yesterday in Wenatchee with Brandi/Nevelyn, Creston and Jeanie.  It was a flying trip but we managed to get everything done and get home in time for the game.  Aunt Lahna is coming over tonight for dinner and tomorrow we are having Chris Swezey and his fiance April over for dinner to talk wedding stuff.  I need rest!

Fun and Busy Weekend

Saturday we all piled into the car and headed to Okanogan for Kat's first softball game.  Then went home and chored, changed clothes and headed to Wenatchee for dinner at Cafe Rio and then over to Eastmont to watch Lance play in the All Star Basketball game. Lance had quite the cheering section.....Mom, Dad, Us, Creston & Jeanie, Jerry & Audrey, Gid & Brandi and of course Marty/Kim.  Sunday, was church and then all the young kids came over for BBQ burgers/dogs and later smores around the bonfire.  We thoroughly enjoyed everyone and closed the house down sometime after 10pm.  Tag tried to beat his two Aunts at bags but somehow Brandi/I pulled it out.  He is one competitive kid....he was talking smack the whole game trying to get me to mess up!
