Glad its Monday

Jord comes home tonight!  So glad it is my last night to do the chores!!! I love the critters, but they are not mine and I only do the chores when it is the last resort.  Kat is slowing improving-thankful----she did make it out to church Sunday but was shot the rest of the day.  We talked about what to do this week for school.  She missed all of last week and really can't be gone this week.  So, I went in and visited with Mr. Hull.  I asked him if it was possible for Kat to visit each of her classes in the morning and get the assignments and then go to Mort's room and stay the rest of the day.  Mort has a recliner in her room and offered to help.  Everyone was on board for that plan, so we shall see how she does.  They have her set up with a laptop, ice bag and pillows......so I think all is good.  I haven't visited with Creston since Friday night.....he is supposed to call me tonight and tell how his first day of college and new job went.  Pretty excited to talk to him! Oh.....and on top of doing the chores.....I had to take out the trash!!! Really not liking this independent going to college stuff.

It feels like Oregon...

Drizzle, drizzle......gray skies......I thought I was in Oregon this morning when I left for work.  Kat went to school yesterday, but came home not in very good shape.  So, she is out for the rest of the week.  Jord leaves tomorrow for an electrical class for Cascade Mechanical and will be gone until Monday.  I got to visit with Creston yesterday and he seemed good and ready to start school.  Ruben found us a 2012 Honda Pilot with 16,000 miles and we signed the papers when we got home.  It is a dream to drive and we have been getting 25-27 miles/gallon.  Of course, I have only driven it back and forth to the Evans to get ice for Kats ankle!  Jord takes it in the morning......I told him he had to trade every other week so I can actually drive it over 10 miles an hour!

Great weekend

Thanks to Pet/Dennis for the yummy dinner Saturday night.  We enjoyed our time and loving on sweet little Jagur.  I could not believe how much Chantry had changed....and he gives good kisses!!! Thanks to Em/Chad for dinner on Sunday and for housing my son......how do you repay someone for something like that?  Very grateful and thankful.  We enjoyed our time with Cynthia and the girls and was happy to see Kiera jumping around.  Also good to visit Tam/Cliff and Edwin and the kids.  We got to see Karly play volleyball and that was a treat! We said goodbye to Creston on Monday night as we planned to leave early Tuesday to come home.  I was really good and didn't cry in front of him- just had a breakdown when I went to bed that night.  Jord and I both couldn't sleep and finally got up at 3:30 am and headed home.  Long trip home....crabby from no sleep......all of us emotional from leaving Creston.  I woke up this morning feeling more at peace and thankful that Kat's ankle was doing better.  She went to school on crutches- she was determined not to stay at home in the recliner!

Frantic!!!

Tuesday, Bro Bruce/Sis Rama surprised me at work and we went to lunch.  They were planning on staying with us Tuesday night and I told them to go ahead to the house, but that Jord was on a plant run with Dad and wouldn't be home till late and I had to go to Coulee and wouldn't be home till 10:00pm....I told them to come with me, but they said they had other invites and would come for dinner and stay Wednesday.  So, I took 1/2 day Wednesday off so I could go home and sterilize the bathroom and kitchen, run the vacuum and straighten up the house a bit before starting dinner.  I always enjoy them when they are here.  We had some good visits.  Creston is buying some totes to store the stuff he isn't taking to Oregon.  He procrastinates packing and I am worried we won't get out of here on Saturday.  He has been a little quiet this week and I think a tad nervous about going to school and going to a new assembly.  You just get so comfortable with your home brethren and young kids that starting something new is a little scary! I had little visitors today....always makes me happy!

So glad its not Monday!

I'm with Jan.  Monday was a horrible day......the only highlight was having Ashton and Laven visit me! Tonight, I will travel to Coulee to watch Kat take on ACH.  It should be a really good game.  Jord went with Dad this morning over the mountains to get a load of plants/trees.  My kitchen is a disaster......Creston cooked spaghetti for dinner as I wasn't there (council meeting).  They did load the dishwasher and I am so grateful for that.  I did my peaches put in the freezer on Sunday....I really should've bought another box but was afraid I wouldn't have the freezer space.  I am looking forward to having 4 days off this weekend....not looking forward to leaving my son in Oregon, but will get through it.

Fall is coming.....

Kat had her first volleyball game last night against Bridgeport and they won.  Those bleachers about kill my behind! Jord  refuses to go.....he said he will make 3 not counting state.  Misery loves company, but it doesn't work when I try and convince my husband to go.  So, Marty/Lance came and sat with me and Creston.  Then they abandoned me after we had won the first two games. I have to make another batch of salsa and I have a box of pears to put up, then I will be done with the canning for the season.  My office is starting to get back to normal.  My new lady started on Monday, and Tiffany (clerk before last one) agreed to come and train her for me for the next two months.  Huge relief for me.  I am so far behind and I sympathize with Jan.....its hard to run two desks at the same time without feeling overwhelmed!  The city won't stop because I am behind....it continues to produce problems for me to address.  Love all the pictures of Jagur.......love the picture of Chantry.....the babies changes so fast!

Another week gone by......

The last week went by in a daze as I am sure all can agree.  So thankful for our new little Martin boy.....he is a cutie! Tonight is the first home football game,  Jord and I will be taking tickets so we can get our two free season passes for basketball.  Its worth it because there is only 4 home games.  Glad that Manthy is taking over concessions this year....its a lot of work and I really didn't want to do it again this year.  Kat and I are starting to plan the Harvest Party.  It will be so nice because we have grass this year for our games!!!!
