Very Long Day.......

I definitely wish today was Friday instead of Tuesday.  Very long and tiring day here at city hall.  I really enjoyed the weekend-wish I had more time to visit with Liz.  It was great having Tam and the kids here for a week.  I loved watching Laven/Ashton doing chores with Kat.  Those boys need to live on a farm!  Good times all around.  Not much else going on.....so I will sign out for now.  Keep posting pics Pet!!!! Not very much longer!

Summertime Fun

Tuesday Kat and I spent the day at the lake with Mom, Tam & kids and Brandi/Nevelyn.  The lake was so nice.  Gideon/Creston came by around 4 to take a dip before heading home.  Last night, Brandi and Kat talked me into going to water zumba at the pool.  I must say.....it was pretty fun.....and I don't feel that sore this morning.  It was a 1 hour workout in the water-I was tired when it was done and thought I would pay for it this morning....but nope! Hard to believe.  Kat has been working on cleaning the house to get ready for this weekend.  Our company comes in on Saturday....sounds like we are going to have a ton of visitors this weekend.  Really enjoyed the singing last night in church.....we had a full house. 

Glad APJ is over.....

Hours and hours of work went into the 100th celebration of the City of Pateros, I am so glad it is over and done with.  Friday, I spent the day preparing for the 60 Filipino guests that were arriving for a welcome dinner at Gail's house.  I grilled ribs for 4+hours in 100 degree weather.  Not smart on my part and was very sick for two days.  But today I feel fantastic.....I slept through the night not waking up one time.  So thankful for the ordinance supper last night.....everyone seemed so happy and carefree.  I was sad that I missed church that morning, but was determined to see Laura get baptized.  I can't wait to spend tomorrow at the Lake with Tamsin, Brandi, Manthy and the kidos.

Hot Weather All Week.....

I wish I had some vacation days that I could spend a the Lake.  It is supposed to be hot all week!  We are busy preparing for APJ weekend and the 100th birthday celebration for the city. So far, we have 40 confirmed Filipino guest coming from Pateros Philippines and California.  Friday night, Jord, the kids and I went and picked apricots.  We delivered some to Ma/Pa and took Gid/Brandi a box.  They are so good.....and free!  Saturday, Creston got up and went to the church to help with the working day and Kat, Brandi, Nevelyn and I headed off to the lake.  It was the perfect lake day.  Tons of fun.....good weather.  Creston has started going through his room detailing and throwing things away.  I think he is getting anxious and a little nervous about the big move.  He stayed home on Sunday with his ankle elevated.....he was pretty sore after working at the church.  He went to work for Gpa today so hopefully he does alright.  Well, better get to work......

Lovin' all the Sunshine

I really enjoyed church last night....quiet meeting but the singing was pretty.  Creston is doing lots better!!! Yay!!! He actually made it out to church and did it without crutches.  We wrapped his ankle and leg up pretty good and he did ok.  It is killing him not being able to work, but hopefully another week and his ankle will be strong enough.  Kat made dinner last night. Apparently the other night Lance was questioning her ability to cook so when I got home she informed me she was cooking dinner.  Thanks Lance!! She made red enchiladas and green salad....it was scrumptious.  My house is starting to fill up for Phil/Betty's anniversary.  I got a call from Kevin/Cyndi asking for a bed, and I will probably have Alan/Lenora if they can scrape up the money.  Although, now that Richard has a 2 bedroom house they might stay with him. 

Life at the Wilson's

4th of July, Kat and I spent the day at Lake Chelan....Richard showed up for about an hour and floated with us, then we all headed to the house and I grilled steak and pork chops.....Lance and Mikey joined us too.  Jord and I had to work on Friday which was a bummer. Our weekend was pretty non-entertaining.  My swimming buddies were off somewhere in the woods so I didn't go to the lake on Saturday.  Instead.......wait for it.......I got my sewing machine out and started sewing together the tropical blocks I won at a challenge years ago.  I have a block from Jan, Petra, Tamsin, Emma, Mom, Darcie, Aunt Phyllis, Dana, Betty, Aunt Lahna,  Kim and myself.  Pretty neat.....I'm making it for Kat's bed so she can have something new when she moves into Creston's room. Its very bright and cheery and she loves the colors.  It felt good to actually sew.....I haven't done it in about 4 years! Creston is slowing getting better.  The swelling is down and the bruising is fading.  He still has quite a bit of pain in it, however, he did put weight on it last night.....carefully.  Whatever he did to it......he did it good.  We are so busy getting ready for the 100th birthday for Pateros for Apple Pie Jamboree....I will be so glad when that weekend is over!

Lookie Here....

Kat came home to her Dad enjoying his grass.  Can you believe we actually have a lawn?  Pretty cool!!!  Creston is still on crutches, but is putting a little weight on his ankle. The swelling is about the same.  He is trying to decide if he wants to make the trip to Oregon on crutches or stay home where he gets waited on....LOL.  It does look a little better but still pretty nasty.  He said he is not into just having to sit around and if he is going to the beach, he wants to be able to do things.  Have fun on the coast!!!

It's Gonna Get Hot!!!!

Yesterday, we made the executive decision to move our secret sister party indoors where we have A/C.......I mean, who wants to have an outside garden party when its 95 degrees outside at 6:00 pm?  Not me.....I thought it turned out nice and everyone was at least cool.  Creston came home yesterday with a swollen ankle. He rolled it getting off the 4 wheeler. By nightfall, the swelling had went halfway up his leg.  It looks pretty bad and he finally gave in to using the crutches instead of hopping through the house.  He was determined to finish out harvest, but at 9:00 last night, he was pretty miserable and I told him he wasn't going anywhere until he could put weight on his foot.  How can you swamp cherries on crutches???? I think Kat is about done with getting up at 4:00am.  She has always been my late sleeper and getting up this early makes for one cranking teenager.  We bought some slabs of pre-seasoned ribs at Costco Saturday and I put them in the oven on 175 for 4 hours and then Jord grilled them for 1 hour with Sweet Baby Rays and oh my......they were delicious.  Richard came over and ate with us.  I whipped up some Kale/Cabbage salad, green salad and baked taters and boom.....Sunday dinner was ready.  Good thing too, because I only got 1 hour at home before heading to decorate for the SS party.  4th of July this year for me will be spending the entire day at Lake Chelan......don't care if I have to go by myself......I am buying me a new floatie and packing the ice chest and off I am going......
