No Laketime Yet!

We actually are going to have a couple of warmer days, but I know that the lake is still too cold to swim in.  We just haven't had consecutive hot days.  So, I am waiting impatiently so I can use a few of my vacation days to lounge by the lake.  This has been my schedule this week.  Mon-was our council night, home by 9.  Tues- went to LBell for the girls basketball.  Wed- Went to Coulee for the girls basketball game and drove straight from there to church.  Thurs- to Lbell for girls bball and back in town by 8 for the boys basketball game.  I think Friday we will actually have dinner at home.  It is so expensive running up and down the road, but the kids grow up so fast and I don't want to miss out! On a good note.....our girls beat LRoosevelt last night and tied with ACH.  Pretty good playing by everyone.

Saturday we went to Lighting Pine to grill with Marty/Kim, Bro. Claude, Phil/Betty.  It was a great day, lots of visiting and laughter.  Started getting sick Saturday night, felt pretty punk all day Sunday.....today I'm here, but not by choice.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Kids said I missed a good meeting Sunday......bums me out!

Summertime Fun

I'm waiting for the hot weather to get here so I can visit Lake Chelan! Instead, I'm sitting watching girls summer basketball and boys summer baseball. Not that I don't love watching the kids, but its time for the heat! It's fun watching the girls....I do believe we will have a decent team this year.  Connie Miller/LaDuex asked me how many times Kat was going to hit the floor?  I said...."as many times as Lorie is going to hit the wall!"  then we have Rhi, between the three of them its going to be an exciting season this year.  Creston, Lance and Mikey got asked to play 5 weeks of summer baseball on a select team of kids from Brewster, Okanogan, Pateros and Bport.  Their first game is tomorrow in Wenatchee.  Creston is loving it....its his favorite sport and it is giving him extra time to play.  Talked with little brother Abe last night for a bit.....he called during the girls game.  He sounded a little tired, said he just got off work...kind of miss the brat.  I hope he knows how much he is loved.....as I am trading my trip to the ocean for a trip to Idaho!

Happy Birthday to Me

Jord surprised me with our first tree for my birthday! I don't think I have ever been so excited about a birthday present.  We pulled into the yard last night and there it was.....planted and everything.  So exciting to finally have a tree in the yard after 1 1/2 years of dirt.  It's a special Dogwood of some kind.....very pretty.  Cityhall treated me to a Mexican lunch and it was excellent.  I received several birthday texts from family and friends from everywhere.....not a bad birthday overall.
