Out of the Loop
Been a little out of wack the last 7 days. Moving is a killer. We have almost everything put away....just a few things left on the porch. We still have to move all the critters, but have to have money to do that.....have to have fencing and all kinds of stuff to keep them safe. It still doesn't feel like my house yet, I haven't been home enough in the evenings to make it feel like mine. We have had something going on every night except last night and we actually got to sit down and have dinner as a family.....oh...and we had a guest...Dakota. It was great! He was so polite and thanked me over and over for dinner and dessert.....made me wonder if Manthy ever fed him...Ha Ha. Good job Manthy/Ruben....you are teaching him manners. Anyway, we enjoyed him. Kat has a softball game tonight against Brewster....should be fun. Creston has a double header against Libertybell tomorrow, then we are having lots of people over for Kat's 13th birthday celebration at 6:00......dinner day on Sunday.....and the list goes on and on and on....where is the hot weather so I can relax at Lake Chelan?

Yippee!!!
The house is totally painted inside and I LOVE IT!! Moving day is scheduled for Thursday night....of course we will most likely be moving Friday, Saturday and cleaning up at Mom's on Sunday. I am not going to know what to do with myself....I will actually have all my belongings in one place. Liz-I will have to take pictures of the paint job....my kitchen is fantastic...Jord did a faux finish on the walls and it turned out great. Love my diningroom....its a celery green and so bright and happy. Our first overnight company is coming the second weekend in May. Janice is flying in from Oklahoma and Alan/Lenora are bringing her over for the weekend for a big BBQ for Richard's birthday. Oh! Kat turns 13 on Saturday. Can't celebrate until the following weekend because everyone will be at the wedding. I need to make some phone calls and check on people, I feel guilty....I have been so wrapped up in getting the house. Anyway, love you Tamsin....think about you everyday...pray for you everyday....glad to hear you are getting out a little.....I will call soon.

Progress
Slowly, we are getting the inside of the house painted so we can start to move in. It's hard to get anything done when the painter works all day and into the evening. We are planning on going out tonight and finish Kat's room and then tomorrow hopefully we can start Creston's and the diningroom....Sunday....our room and the bathroom. I told Jord to let me help him paint, but he says that is a definate "NO". We've had so much experience painting together in Oklahoma, and he just doesn't appreciate my methods...HA! I volunteered to help coach Kat's softball team and if anything, its giving me a little exercise. It's fun, and I couldn't bring myself to walk away from it after helping with her team for 8 years. Spring is here.....I actually got a little color in my face at the ballfield this week....Lake Chelan here we come...well, we will have to wait a little longer I guess.

Easter Sunday
It was a nice, relaxing Easter for us. Baked pies on Saturday and cooked a Fried Chicken dinner for Dad and Jord. They have been missing homecooked food so why not stuff them with all the calories at once! Anyway, Sunday we did BBQ burgers and it was nice, easy, and fast. Woke up Sunday morning and Kat is getting dressed (I bought her a new dress in Yakima) and I notice her dress is about 3 inches shorter than I remembered. Hmmmm. It was so cute on her in the store. We looked at it and decided it was too short....Frustrating! So, she wore a older dress, one of her favorites that she doesn't wear very often. She was disappointed....I was angry....what is it with all the dresses being above the knee? So, when you sit down, it looks like a mini skirt. I am going to take it back and hopefully they will let me exchange it for something else because we don't have a receipt. It's looking like the end of April when we get to move into our house. We are excited, and still won't believe we get it until we actually sign the papers.
